National Bikers Weekend (NBW) 2024 kicked off on 18 Oct 2024 at the Changi Exhibition Centre with great success.

In collaboration with the Traffic Police, the "Singapore Ride Safe 2024" campaign was launched on Saturday and premiered a powerful video titled "Gear Up, Ride Safe. Your Loved Ones Await," emphasizing the importance of safety gear for motorcyclists.

At the event, SMCTA President, Mr Rex Tan, formally introduced the revised helmet testing standard, SS9, to the public. SMCTA has been part of the committee spearheading updates to the SS9 standard. Mr Rex Tan highlighted key differences between the updated SS9 and the previous standard and explained how it aims to enable a wide range of helmets to be available to Singapore consumers and reduce costs of testing by aligning SS9 to the UNECE standards.
